Civil Service Commission

Is responsible, among others tasks, for drawing government policies for civil service improvement by providing relevant means and technical assistance. Civil Service Commission regulates scholarships for Kuwaiti employees out side Kuwait. There two main different types of scholarships; full scholarship and study leave. Full scholarship; this is granted for an employee to carry out full-time education/training, and it has two types;

  • Full scholarship; granted for attaining higher qualification, postgraduate study or training.
  • Training scholarship; not more than 1 year.
Study leave; this is when an employee is allowed a duration of absence from his/her work during which to carry out education/training.
  • Study leave to study for undergraduate degree, duration of which is determined by the duration of the programme of study.
  • Study leave for exams, not to exceed 45 days in an academic year.

Students receiving sponsorship by Civil Service Commission are required to follow a set of guidelines and regulations that should be abided for the duration of their studies.
